Hypnotherapy

At its best, hypnotherapy empowers the individual to overcome the challenges of life.

Hypnotherapy provides a first class way of accessing memories, emotions, psychological states, and dealing with physical pain and many issues. It offers rapid and powerful ways of dealing with them, even longstanding issues.

Being in hypnosis is usually like a daydream state - pleasantly calm and relaxed. It is a normal and natural state which we all experience in everyday life - rather like the state many drivers experience when they are on 'automatic pilot' for a short while. With the hypnotherapist's help, it is easy to enter and use it in such a way that beneficial instructions can be given to the receptive unconscious mind, creating effective and long lasting changes in the way you think, feel and behave, in support of your personal goals.

The hypnotic state makes it much easier to achieve these changes. Nobody knows precisely why this occurs, but it is now beyond doubt that alterations which occur in the rhythms and electrical activity of the brain are associated with making such changes.

Contrary to what most people believe, in hypnotherapy you never come under the 'control' of the therapist. You cannot be hypnotised against your wishes, this is a co-operative treatment modality. In reality, the therapist and the subject are working together to achieve the desired outcome; however, you can awaken at anytime should you wish to.

Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis to treat issues which have psychological or emotional origins. Some medical issues have symptoms that may be alleviated with hypnotherapy and self help tools.

Habits such as smoking, weight management, unwanted thoughts and phobias may respond well and help you to feel in control again.

Hypnotherapy may enable long-lasting changes: behaviours and habits are learned and can be unlearned and replaced with positive changes. Hypnotherapy is a relaxing treatment which empowers you with tools for change.
